Any more bright ideas?

If you really want a pigeon it would probably be much easier to buy one. Breeders of homing pigeons usually sell them for around $10 or even less so its not like it would break the bank. Plus then you don't have to worry about hand feeding unless you are aware of how to do it properly. It would be really sad if you go through all this work and then the baby dies.
