Are you worried that Obama's healthcare reform effort will get hijacked by BIG PHARMA?

Very disturbing. The AMA already regulates too much of what doctors are taught. My mother had a hard time finding a doctor to prescribe her an older drug that was better for her because the AMA had told her doctor she should be prescribing something else. 5 minutes of research online reveals that patients prefer the old drug, but because the drug companies and the AMA need to recoup research money, they teach that the new stuff is better. I'm sure things will only get worse when it comes to situations like hers. I have a theory that the AMA was created by stuck up doctors that wanted to destroy holistic healing and natural remedies. They decide they know the right way to treat everybody and then dictate it to everybody else. The AMA should be abolished.
